Question : My granddaughter complains of bleeding inside her rectom with pain every time she has a bowel movement. She is age 20 and says it is not hemmorids. What do you think?

Anal fissure.

Thank you for the query.

Such symptoms are usually caused by a anal fissure. It is a kind of wound in the rectum caused by a hard stool (or other reason). Such wound gives strong pain every time stool is irritating it.
Luckily this wound can be easily healed. She should have:
- sitz baths with Oak Bark twice a day for 7 days
- use OTC suppositories for hemorrhoids
- try nitroglycerine cream twice a day
- do not push hard on stool
- add fiber and probiotic to diet

Such treatment should help in few days.
