Question : I have a pain in my left groin and lower abdomen. it is all started with a boil which is resolved a while ago and there's another thing worth mentioning once I woke up with my underwear pressing on my left groin but I felt pressure pain few hours then but nothing else happened until the boil.
what worries me most is that the boil is resolved and I felt significant improvement in the pain after a week on antibiotics systemically and locally but there is still some degree of pain that sometimes I feel it higher. in my abdomen and my back and even in my left leg specially when I wear a belt

Brief Answer:
Myalgia: Just take this medications and you'll be OK.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

I am Dr. Neel Kudchadkar and I will help you with this problem.

1. There are 2 problems here and we will deal with both of them.

2. Firstly, you might be worried that the boil, and the pain that you are experiencing could be an indicator of a serious disease. I would reassure you that this is not the case at all. Since the boil has resolved, our issue is the myalgia (muscle pain).

3. The most common diagnosis is invariably the right diagnosis. The myalgia you are experiencing has many causes that can be found, if you think carefully, in your day to day activities.

4. The best of all is to take an NSAID tablet, I would recommend Ibuprofen. It is gentle on the stomach and more so than often comes in a combination with Paracetamol. I would also ask you to locally apply either Aceclofenac or Diclofenac gel to those areas where pain is experienced.

5. Since I cannot give you a prescription over the 'net, Kindly go to a local doctor, and the odds are that he'll prescribe you the exact type and class of medications described above, though their brand names may be different from country to country.

Take care,
You're OK.

I'm just want to stop worrying.
at first I thought this pain is coming from left testicle or left uriter.
I might be overthinking but I'm asking to be positive.

Brief Answer:
You're right. To feel better kindly follow these suggestions....

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

1. If the pain was due to a problem in the testicle or the kidney (as you mention 'ureter') The presentaion and symptom profile would have been entirely different.

2. I can understand your worries as regards concerns about diseases in these areas.

3. Yet you are facing a real problem here, worry. To be precise. And worry & anxiety can stress the mind and the body sufficiently to make a person miserable.

4. I would kindly like to know if you can get adequate sleep at night, and how is your appetite and general functioning. This can help us.

5. Please take the NSAID tablets and gel as described. And though I'd really like to do so, a prescription will be given to you by your local doctor. Tell him or her that you are worried and anxious, typically you would be given a medicine, like diazepam, alprazolam or chlodiazepoxide for a few days. A week at the most.

6. This isn't to say that, your worry isn't valid and let's "zap" it with medicines. I feel it is your human right to seek relief, when the unbearable worry is not due to any serious cause (of disease).

You're OK.

In your best interest,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar.

Brief Answer:
Yes, you are right, to benefit further do this...

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

1. It is a fact that if you put continuous pressure on any muscle, it will develop pain.

2. In fact, I would advise you to use looser types of underwear. This is a practical solution.

3. I confirm this is myalgia.

4. Kindly take a short course of NSAID tablets, Aceclofenac gel, and rest.

That is all. Most important of all, set your mind at rest.

Regards,
Dr. Neel Kuchadkar
