default
Posted on Wed, 20 Jul 2016
Question: I have this deep ache on the right side of my chest just above to the left of my nipple. It doesn't stay hurting. It hits me like a throb lasts a second or two and goes away and may come back every few minutes.

Brief Answer:
As explained. Get Cardiac check up and other investigations.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male/28 - deep ache - throbs a second or two - goes away - may come back every minute - right side of chest - just above the left of right nipple...

My thoughts:
As per the short history you have provided this looks to be costochondritis.
But as a priority EKG and cardiac check should be done ASAP.

If the cardiac work up is normal, X-ray does not show any suspicious lesions and if there is a local tenderness means pain on pressure, this is most likely to be costochondritis.

Please get this checked and give me the follow-up, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
