Abnormalities in pancreatic body or tail is more commonly due to chronic pancreatitis, often asymptomatic. Sometimes it may be cancer but usually it shows a mass or space occupying lesion in that scenario.

So if it's just some abnormality, without mass, then unlikely to be cancer.
