                                            Question : hello doctor,
I had abortion on April 1st 2017 due to incompetent cervix. I had one more abortion last year also. I have PCOD nd my periods are never regular. After recent abortion, my bleeding / spotting continued for more than a month. I used pause XT tablet and It just stopped last week. Still I am having very very light brown discharge occasionally especially when I pass motion.
1. What is this light brown discharge nd why it's happening.
2. Is there any chance that I will ovulate while this bleeding happens? Why because yesterday night we had intercourse without protection. Is there any chance that I get pregnant?
3. Can I use I pill now as emergency contraception to avoid any chance of pregnancy. Will there be any side effects for ipilll as I generally have severe harmonal imbalance.
4. Doctor asked me to take XXXXXXX once my bleeding stops and next period comes. I don't know when my period comes. Instead of ipilll can I start taking Yasmin?Does that one also stops pregnancy?

                                    Brief Answer:
Get an ultrasound
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting HealthcareMagic
I understand your anxiety about the issue but in my opinion you need to get an ultrasound at the earliest
Only after ruling out that there is nothing inside your uterine cavity remaining from last abortion you can think of having any pill (whether ipill or Yasmin)
Otherwise irregular spotting because of that abortion can mingle with spotting due to pills also.
Don't panic as yet as many a times there is nothing to worry
All the best

thank you doctor. I had an ultrasound and there were no RPOC. After confirming that there is no RPOC, doctor advised me to take Pause XT for spotting to stop. One thing found in ultrasound is endometrial lining is not clear. It was written as Delineated endometrium. But doctor said it's not a prob. With this, could you please answer my other questions.

                                    Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Yes dear if there are no RPOCs there is nothing to worry about and just take the pause tablet as advised and hopefully your bleeding issue will resolve
Most likely it is because of disturbed hormones and thus will be fine after bleeding stops
In case the spotting continues then taking oral pills for one cycle only will suffice
Take care

Can I start taking them from today. I have taken I pill yesterday night. Will there be any side effects.
