What Does Pink Skin Around A Dog Bite Wound Indicate?

Question: I have a small facial bite on my face from my dog during an aggressive state, happened around 3 months ago now,skin color is still pink will the appearance of the wound change to a white or clear color at some point? I have another scar on my chin from a bicycle injury when I was a kid and it is XXXX

The scar takes about 4-6 months to settle down completely.

So i would suggest that you wait a little more.

Also, is the bite wound raised from the surrounding skin or is there is any itching there? If yes, then it might be an indication that it might be going into hypertrophy or kelloid formation. And then you need to show it to a dermatologist for a clinical examination.

If thats not the case, then nothing to worry about.
