                                    Brief Answer:
Ideally chest X-ray is taken after holding respiration in full inspiration.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,
Ideally chest X-ray is taken after holding respiration in full inspiration. This allow better visualization of lungs and heart as it is descends down in inspiration.
Major problem is evaluating heart size if film is not in full inspiration.
Cardiac size may not be accurately evaluated.
In short,it is not a serious problem. If heart size is normal (even if chest x-ray is not in full inspiration) then it is not concerning.

Hope I have answered your query.
