What Does Precrural Lymph Node Mean?

Question : On my ct scan a pre crural node was identified can you explain its significance ( if any) also when the term no significant evidence is used . Does that mean there is a little evidence but it just hasn't manifested itself yet?

Hi

The significance of a pre crural node depends upon its size as well as character. If size is small , less than 1 cm then of little importance. If normal character is maintained then also of little importance.

However, as they have mentioned no significant evidence ( of recurrence, I presume), it means that this CT does not show anything to worry about.

Likely these are normal lymph glands.

That's why in the conclusion there is no evidence of recurrence anywhere.

If they were large enough then they must have mentioned the sizes.

Another thing is that your symptoms were in the armpit and precrural nodes are in the abdomen. So very unlikely for a breast cancer to recur in precrural nodes out of nowhere.
