Question : One hour ago I went to the bathroom and was XXXXXXX to see as I urinated approx. 1/4 cup Blood came rushing out. Up to this point I have not shown any blood in my urine. The Blood was bright red and as I continued to pee my urine diluted the blood to a dark pink time I finished. I had prostate cancer in 2008 and my prostate was removed. Earlier in the evening my belly was bothering me but that went away I thought it was gas pains. Also i'm on xeralto 20mg a day and have been since 2008 that's why I'm emailing just to cross the t's and dot the i's

Thanks XXXX

Brief Answer:
Further diagnostics for bladder and kidney recommended

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

since you are on xarelto, bleedings like this are more likely to happen. Further testings to rule out any kidney/ bladder related condition such as stones, infections, and others is advisable though. In a case like this i would usually do further testing of bladder and kidney such as:

1. Urine test for infection
2. Ultrasound abdomen
3. Blood test for red blood count, inflammation, renal function test

Your local gp can usually do all that.

Best regards
