Brief Answer: we need to rule out causes of hematuria with prote Detailed Answer: Hello, Thank You for consulting HealthcareMagic! As presence of blood in urine is confirmed(by presence of RBC in urine exam), we need to rule out causes of hematuria like inflammation of the kidney, urethra, bladder, or prostate, certain blood disorders, kidney stones etc. As there is presence of protein as well, glomerulonehritis which is a kind of kidney disorder can be a suspicion. Ultrasound should have been helpful in establishing a diagnosis. But sometimes it is not a very sensitive investigation to rule out some of the above mentioned possibilities. So, you may need a CT of adbomen/Pelvis also. However, a Physical examination is mandatory to assess these since there are variety of other causes that needs to be ruled out. So, I suggest to discuss about these with your Urologist also. Stay healthy and thank you for consulting! You can contact me again anytime, if you need clarifications or further assistance in future. Kindly rate the answer if you are satisfied.
