Thanks for writing to us.
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterised by well defined raised red elevated lesions covered by thick silvery scales. Apart from scalp, it may involve trunk, extremities, nails and joints.
If the lesions are limited to scalp, these should be differentiated from those of seborrheic dermatitis which is characterised by thick greasy pale yellow scales and red itchy scalp.
