Question : I have just noticed a red streak about 5 inches long and about 1/2 inch wide running mid-thigh on the outside of of my right thigh. It is not painful and I haven't injured it. It is a darker red in the middle and gets somewhat lighter towards both ends. I suspected maybe an insect bite of some kind but the skin isn't broken anywhere along the strip. I have no fever and my BP is normal.
Your thoughts, Sir?

Brief Answer:
Seems to be bite or crawling of an insect, upload pictures

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
According to your complaints it seems to be a reaction due to bite or crawling of an insect.
Is it associated with itching or burning or any other symptoms?
I would recommend you to upload the photographs of the affected areas so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
