Brief Answer:
Opioid substitution therapy
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear XXXXXXX
Welcome here.
I can understand your concerns.
Quitting SP abruptly can cause withdrawal symptoms. Pain in legs, especially in night time is one of the prominent withdrawal symptom.
The treatment approach in such a case is to start opioid substitution therapy(OST). In this, you will be given a drug which has similar effects on body as SP. Then this new drug can be withdrawal slowly under medical supervision.
Tramadol, codiene, buprenorphine are some of the drugs which are used is OST.
Kindly discuss this with your doctor and start the treatment only under his supervision. You will be fine.
I wish you well.
Thanks.
