Question: Slipped on marble stairs, struck T6 to T9 area and S3 to S5 area. No loss of function or apparent peripheral neuropathy. When quiescent, pain level is 3. When moving in certain directions, pain level 7 to 8. I suspect muscular/skeletal only which would indicate the usual course of rest and some gentle walking movement. Am I missing anything. (Went through Med School 40 years ago. Only remember so much and never entered internship.)

Brief Answer:

Take pain killer with muscle relaxant

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Your description seems to be suggestive of trivial injury to muscle and soft tissue.

Less likely to be involvement of any bony structure or spine.

You should continue pain killers with a muscle relaxant for a week like Aceclofenac or diclofenac with thiocolchicoside or tizanidine.

If there is any progression, then imaging (X-ray/CT/MRI) will be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
