Question : Hi I'm a 40 year old female with no known health problems over the course of the past month or so I have noticed a small pea sized bump on the back of my neck towards the back of my scalp It seems Hardish but seems to move with my skin should I be overly concerned
Brief Answer:
No need to worry about.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/40 - small pea sized bump - back of neck - towards back of scalp - hardish but moves with skin - wants to know whether to be overtly concerned ...
With the history you have provided, this looks to be a small sebaceous cyst as it is moving with the skin hence not to be overtly concerned at all.
Please keep a watch for any pain, redness, tenderness or any symptoms.
If not this may resolve on its own or be stationary.
I hope this answers your query.
Please feel free to ask for any further queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
No need to worry about.

Thanks for your reply are there home remedies to get rid of this and I if it remains stationary I have a physical in Feb is it ok to wait to have it looked at thanks for your help
Brief Answer:
As detailed below.
Detailed Answer:
There are no home remedies and in fact keeping it on its own, not by fondling can help its regression.
If the size is not enlarging or if there are no symptoms, you may please wait.
If any changes, please consult a Doctor or a General Surgeon to have a look at it.
