Question : Last weekend I had vaginal sex with a CSW in XXXXXXX Condom broke and I noticed a minute or so into it. Replaced the condom and when I check a few minutes later it had slipped down just below foreskin. Additionally, she is a drug user (I say a crack pipe in her room) no needles but I would be surprised if she weren't an IV user as well. Finally, 7 days later I have a mild sore throat and night sweats...possibly ARS? Thanks,

Brief Answer:
PCR test for mRNA

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
It is too early to say ARS ....so relax.
The best you can do is do a blood test PCR for HIV mRNA that will detect even small viral loads at around 2 weeks or so.
In addition if no needles seen, don't speculate.
Your risk of getting run down crossing a road or being involved in an accident is significantly higher!
Please treat the symptoms with warm saline gargle & plain old paracetamol & make sure you consume loads of 'fluids'. This will help combat the viral infection that it appears to be akin to a common cold.
The fear factor is what is eating into you ...hence my suggestion to do something objective & get tested...no use this early doing an ELISA test hence PCR best.
Good Luck & Godspeed!
P.S...when the test comes out negative, do give me a shout & put this episode behind you....always practice 'Safe Sex' hitherto.
