Brief Answer:
ratio of water to solutes in urine, your value is normal

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Specific gravity of urine essentially refers to the concentration of the urine or the ratio of water to solutes (solids or electrolytes ) in the urine. It can provide information on how well the kidneys can concentrate the urine.

In dehydration, decreased fluid intake, vomiting or diarrhea (where there is fluid loss), the specific gravity would be increased.
It can also increase in other instances as well such as infections or in uncontrolled diabetes where there is a high amount of sugar in the urine..

Your specific gravity of 1.015 is within expected normal range, most adults have specific gravity of 1.002 to 1.030. Some labs/test strips have a lower limit of 1.005

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
