Question : spitting up blood in saliva. Sometimes blood with air bubbles. Quit smoking 7 weeks ago. gums and tongue occosiaonlly bleed.

You should definitely see a doctor without delay. There are a few things that primarily need to be excluded:
* Chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD) which could be related to your earlier history of smoking and might be characterized by extensive lung damage.
* Tuberculosis and certain other infections.
* High blood pressure
* Liver problems

Getting a chest X ray done would be the first step towards the diagnosis. Treatment would depend upon the cause.
