It could be infection

Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. The swelling could well be due to infection. To confirm that please tell me-
1.Do you have fever, pain and swelling?
2.Any restriction of toe movement?
If possible send the picture.

May start antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Based on your reply and being diabetic, it is my sincere advice to start antibiotic like Augmentin along with Ibuprofen and trypsin/chymotrypsin to reduce pain and swelling. Clean the toe with XXXXXXX warm water and apply beta dine solution.
To help you better please send the picture of toe if possible.
Wishing you good health.
