Question : Our baby boy is 2 months 6days old. A major part of his umbilical stump fell off when he was 2 weeks old. After that, small pieces of the same have come off twice. Currently, his belly button looks swollen and red. We wanted to know if it is normal or a matter of concern.

This does not look like an infection or umbilical granuloma. Small umbilical hernia which will get better as the baby starts to roll over.
