Question : My husband had a recent blood test and his rnp antibody registered 1.9. His latest test came back at 1.5. What is RNP Antibody and why is the 1.5 still out of the acceptable range.

                                    Brief Answer:
Physiological; yet need some info to help better
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
RNP is ribonuclear protein extracted from nuclear antigen and antibody against it is referred anti-RNP .This is increased in connective tissue disorders (autoimmune) like systemic or drug induced lupus,Scleroderma etc and persists for longer duration until is used up..
With just values we can't pin point, what's the problem ! I request you to add brief medical history like any history of rashes, kidney dysfunction, bowel disorders, eye disorder etc.
With the limited information,I could not sort out actual etiology...
Awaiting your reply.
