Brief Answer:
Meet a surgical gastroenterologist, Open biopsy maybe required

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I have viewed your brother in law's biopsy report. First of all, a polyp is a growth of tissue from the inner lining of the colon into the lumen (hollow center) of the colon. The other provisional diagnosis they have said is well differentiatied adenocarcinoma (low-grade), means it is not aggressive.

Looking at the report chances are it is non-cancerous(benign) or early stages of cancer(malignant).

The next step is to get an open biopsy as suggested in the report. That is they remove the lesion/polyp and send it to a pathologist to examine and confirm the diagnosis.

I would suggest you to meet a surgical gastroenterologist for further examination and treatment.

I hope this answered your query.
