Posted on Mon, 28 Nov 2016
Question: Hello Doctor,

I have been diabetic for nearly 6 years now and have been taking allopathic medications. Sometimes it has been well managed and sometimes i have been negligent about diet. However, the medications that have been prescribed come with a contraindication for pioglitazone element in the drug. Just wanted to check if Ayurveda can provide effective diabetes treatment.

I checked my blood sugar today with the machine at home and the readings were:
Fasting - 143
Post Prandial - 273

Please advise.
