What Does The Following Blood Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Wed, 7 Oct 2015
Question: Hi Doc. I just received blood test done.
I had an unprotected relationship, with a potential Hiv patient (not sure)
Lym shows 3.5 H
HIV test negative.
I was lately tested for fatty liver, I am taking supplements for it.
URSODEOXYCHOLIC ACID TABLETS.
Does that have anything to do with high LYM.
What should be my next step.

I was diagnosed HSV, positive. Couple of years back. And I do take Aciclovir on a daily basis.

I'm waiting for the requested data to be uploaded!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Your lymphocyte are at the upper limits of the norm or slightly elevated (it depends on laboratory reference range), which is very common in patients who has viral infections.

However, before giving my opinion I would like to check by my self your test results. Please keep in mind that different laboratories has different reference range.

Can you upload all your test results so I will be able to give a more accurate answer to your query?

I'm waiting for the requested data to be uploaded!
Wish you health!

Brief Answer:
Following answer to your queries...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

After reviewing all your data I would like to say that the WBC count s normal and the lymphocyte are slightly elevated. These findings are typical for viral infection.

These findings doesn't make you a potential candidate for cancer or HIV. However, you should continue with treatment for HSV and you should continue with regular follow up every sixth months.

Moreover I would suggest to stay calm and relax because the worse enemies in your case are stress and anxiety.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
