Brief Answer:
NO...However, upload a copy of your results for review!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

Platelets normally fall within 150-450 for normal values. Small variations out of this range are acceptable and mostly when the size of platelets are low. I will like to obtain and review the entire result report to see if this was the case with you. However, there is nothing to worry about. If we find no immediate cause, next step would be to do a control test in 3months as well as review old reports to plot a trend and see whether something has changed.

I hope this helps and clarifies. I look forward obtaining and reviewing your report in its entirety before concluding.

Brief Answer:
There is nothing to worry about!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This seems the only value above normal. This is just a bit off the normal range and therefore no issue. I will suggest you store this at the back of your mind. We will revisit this when next laboratory tests are done to see if this is still present.

I wish you well.

The test came back at 470. My GP told me not to worry as this is not uncommon. He said he would be worried if it was over 1 million. Is he correct on your professional opinon? Also all other parts of the CBC tested were normal. He said we will test in a month. Is this common to be just outside the range?
