On that blood test result i was having the early stage of typhoid infection.. Doctor suggested me not to take any outside food and gave me Paracetamol and one antibiotic for 5 days.. i was completely fine after that.. and still not having any outside food also stopped non-veg foods. from last Wednesday (29th July) i had a bad throat pain and that followed by Fever and cold. Fever was for one night as i had taken one Paracetamol to control it.. and now i don't feel feverish but sometimes when check temperature it shows 99 on the thermometer reading. Brief Answer:
Nothing to be worried

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.

Your blood reports are very reassuring for typhoid. No typhoid infection.

The only abnormal report is elevated TLC and ESR. You are probably having a viral infection of the throat. It does take the viral around 10 days to get better (irrespective of medicine taken).

This will get better soon. If it does not get better then probably a short course of antibiotic will help. But antibiotics should not be taken repeatedly and unnecessarily.

Hope it helps.

Brief Answer:
Your sugar is in pre-diabetes range

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.

Your blood sugar levels are in the range of pre-diabetes. In fact the normal range at 2 hr is <140 mg/dl and yours is just 152 which is slightly higher. Pre-diabetes means that you may develop diabetes in future. This definitely needs to be controlled with diet and exercise. Excluding sugary foods and doing exercise daily for 30 min will help. Keeping a track of fasting sugar levels will also help. You can get a glucometer for home for this purpose.

For now I don't think this somewhat high levels of sugar are responsible for recurrent infections.

Rather you may be experiencing lower immunity for some other reason including stress or exposure to germs. So you need to avoid both. Some virals can be long-lasting. Antibiotics can also alter normal flora and affect immunity. Avoiding unnecessary medicines benefits in long run. Karela-jamun juice will also help increase immunity and help with blood glucose levels. If you can make it at home then its more reliable and fresh.

Hope it helps.
