Brief Answer:
Mild Anemia, Mild Vit-D and calcium Deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX Good morning to you and thank you for posting your question here on healthcaremagic.com.

I am Dr. Yogesh, I have gone through your query and have carefully studied the attached reports.

After going through the reports, I am happy to inform you that there are no significant abnormalities in either the clinical examination or in the laboratory investigations that are performed.

That said, I would like to draw your attention to a few of the abnormal findings in the lab tests, that is.,

1. Lowe hemoglobin levels, this along with the other red cell indices that are looked at (MCh, MCHC, RDW etc.,) indicate iron deficiency anemia and probably vitamin B12 and folic acid deficiency.

This can be easily addressed with iron and vitamin supplements taken for at least 6 months.

She will need to take the iron supplements for 6 months to restore her reserves.

one tablet of Iron will do per day, instead, she can take one tablet of A-Z which contains about 50 mg of iron along with vitamin D and calcium as she has calcium as well as vitamin-D deficiency as well.

2. PAP smear results indicate chronic cervical inflammation (a very common problem in sexually active females and can be corrected by identifying the offending pathogen, that is bacteria responsible).

You will have to ask the gynecologist to take a vaginal swab and get it tested for bacteria(particularly Chlamydia) or fungi ( A culture and sensitivity test is what is required), This should be supplemented by a test for chlamydia for you as well.

Based on the type of bacteria detected, a proper antibiotic regimen can be recommended.

3. Apart from these two, her HbA1c is elevated, while her random blood sugar levels are normal, this indicates a slight glucose intolerance particularly post meals, so the ideal investigation in this setting would be to undergo a glucose challenge test and see how high the glucose levels go after meals.

Further directions will be based on the outcome of this test.

4. BMI is on the higher side, and this could be a contributing factor for the higher HbA1c values noted, regular exercise for half an hour a day will suffice to reduce both BMI and the HbA1c values to normal.

Cholesterol levels are perfectly fine and the rest of the findings are fine.

Hope this answers your concerns adequately, and you are welcome to ask me for clarifications.

Wishing you both a healthy life.

Best regards
