Question : Hello doctor, I had missed my period for a month. But then I consulted a gynecologist and she suggested primoult n since my pregnancy tests were negative. After few days , I had my periods and I did FSH LH. and thyroid tests done. The values are as follows :

FSh : 13.2
LH : 2.4

TSH : 2.6

I found from few sites online that an FSH above 12 make it difficult for pregnancy. I am 31 years old and married. I would like to know if I would have issues with pregnancy.

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
FSH levels more than 10 are suggestive of decreased ovarian function and hence can lead to difficulty in conception as well as delayed periods, due to irregular or no ovulation.
I will suggest you to get a repeat FSH levels on day 2 of the menstrual cycle, as the FSH levels fluctuate with the different phases of the cycle.
If the FSH levels are still more than 10, then you should plan pregnancy as soon as possible, in consultation with a OBGYN specialist.

hello doctor, thank you for the reply. I had done the test on the second day of the menstrual cycle. Should I repeat the test for checking the FSH level?
