Question: Just curious about blood results and want some answers. I cant get into my doctor for a while but I have health anxiety and I don;t like to not know whats wrong wiht me. Its all I keep thinking about.

To add, the report is uploaded. My platelet count has been low since blood given in XXXXXXX of 2016 and blood was given July 2016. Same with red blood cell distribution and mean platelet count. I am a college student so my cholestorl has gotten high for I have gained weight and eating and dorm life I have struggled with. I have been fixing my diet ever since I was home for break.

The doctor said I had swollen lymph nodes. My face would get puffy. Indigestion. Under rib left side pain. Stomach pain. Hard time swallowing. etc. It comes and goes and like i said I have anxiety. On and off symptoms. I have lots of post nasal drip and stuffy when I wake up.

But with these same results what do I do? what further testing should I ask for? DO i have cancer? diease? Help

Brief Answer:
Findings are almost normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Your findings may suggest mildly decreased platelet count.
It may need clinical correlation. It may be due to many causes like pathology related to platelet itself, error in automatic analyser etc.
Some machine may have technical difficulty in counting platelet.
You may need proper evaluation by a hematologist.
It is generally not a very serious issue.

Cholesterol level is borderline raised.
Avoid saturated fat and go for brisk walk regularly.

Other findings are acceptable.

You may need ultrasound of abdomen due to pain.Routine blood investigations may also be advised.

In short, findings are not serious.
There are no signs of cancer.

Get well soon.

Hope I have answered your query.
Further queries are most welcome.

Take Care
