Brief Answer:
If she don't have any symptoms then nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi There

I appreciate your concern for your friends health, am Dr Bhanu partap and I am a cardiology practitioner.

Aortic arch unfolding is basically an abnormality That usually gets detected on a chest xray while evaluating some other problems. The MEDIASTINAL space ( part of the thoracic cavity that contains heart, food pipe, wind pipe ) appears to be widened.

Echocardiography is usually advised for further evaluation.

Prognosis is good and person usually spend a normal life . As such there are no complications with it.

Treatment is only by surgical correction which is a major surgery but it's hardly ever required.

I hope this information will answer your query and will guide you in a right path. If you have any doubt you can ask me or else you can close the discussion and kindly rate the answer.

I wish her good health
