Brief Answer:
Amniocentesis Required

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I saw the attached reports and understand your concerns about high risk for Trisomy 13/ 18.

I believe this needs an evaluation by a fetal medicine specialist followed by amniocentesis to assess the risk factor and give final opinion.

As you are staying in XXXXXXX you can consult Dr. XXXXXXX Radhakrishnan who is fetal medicine consultant trained in UK and is good at amniocentesis and assessment of the necessity of the same.

Amniocentesis is the only way to definitely identify the same.

Let me know if you wish anymore information.

Brief Answer:
Report explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Yes report says that there are more possibilities that your baby will have congenital birth defects.

These include mental retardation and various physical abnormalities.

The chances of having such a baby in your case are one in 471 births which is higher chance.

It is ideal to have this value 1 in 1000 or more. This chance is predicted by plotting blood tests with NT ultrasound scan report. This predicted chance is high and needs evaluation as i described above.

Let me know if you need any more specific details.

Brief Answer:
Amniocentesis is a best option

Detailed Answer:
I dont think abortion is a wise option. This report does not say for sure if there is going be baby with congenital defects. You never know what difficulties will occur in conceiving again.

This report just shows possible increase in chance of having such a baby.

Best decision would be to do a amniocentesis and check the report.
