Brief Answer:
Polycystic ovary can reduce the chances of conception.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting your query.

Cyst means fluid filled ballon like structure. Polycyst mean multiple cysts. Polycystic ovaries means there are multiple cysts in your ovary.

Yes Polycystic ovary can cause problems in conception. You need to get treatment started for that. But since your periods are regular you may not be started on any treatment as of now .

In addition to the above test I would recommend you to get tested for Thyroid problems by a test called TSH, T3 and T4.

Also get a semen analysis of your husband.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
No need of any medication.

Detailed Answer:
HI

First of all relax. You don't have any major problem.

For Polycystic ovaries , treatment will usually be offered only when the periods are irregular . In your case periods are regular. So there is no need to start any treatment for Polycystic ovary.

As of your conception is concerned , it's been only 6 months since you both have been trying . In my opinion I think you can try naturally for 6 months more and if still no success then go for certain treatment.

You can ask for Ovulation inducing medication from your gynecologist once you think of starting treatment.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask.
