Question: Hello Doctor,
I am a male 31 years old married 6 months ago. I'm working as a software engineer for the past 10 years. Few months ago, I started feeling tired most of the day. In one word my body and mind feels exhausted after working for sometime, unable to do any activity for long hours, not getting quality sleep, difficulty in concentrating and memorizing matters, lacking interest in my activities, I feel like trying to avoid responsibilities, getting pains in different parts of body like neck, back portion of head, lower back, legs etc. Reports of my recent general health check up have come few days back. My BP, blood sugar, Vitamin B12 and D3 levels are normal. The blood test report says my iron levels are 63 pg/dl, triglycerides value 315 mg/dl, lipoprotein value is 127 mg/dl. These are highlighted as abnormal values in the reports. I have the PDF file of the reports which is around 1.7MB in size. Not sure how I can share it over here. Please advise if these values have any relation to my symptoms and needs a medical treatment.

Thanks XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Get evaluated for snoring if you do.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
Usually such generalized fatigue, stress, weight loss are due to anxiety or fibromyalgia.
However to state that we should first of all rule out other causes like iron deficiency, calcium deficiency.

Since your these reports are with in normal limits, they are not the cause.
Even your iron levels are not significantly low.

In case you snore in night, you might be having Obstructive sleep apnea, that can be one of the reason for the tiredness and yawning in the day time.
Ask your family members, if you snore excessively in night then you need to get a Sleep study done and to work for weight loss in case you are overweight.

I would advise you to get following tests done:
1. Fasting Blood Sugar- to rule out diabetes
2. Thyroid Profile- to rule out hypothyroidism.

If any issues are found in your reports you would be treated accordingly. Otherwise your Doctor will treat you with SSRI's like Fluoxetine, Escitalopram.

Your lipid profile is disturbed, that requires attention. Initially you need to have strict diet control and regular exercises, that would help you.
I would advise you to:
1.Reduce your weight.
2.Avoid Fatty food in diet.
3.To consume potato, rice, oil, ghee, sweets, carbonated beverages in moderated amount only.
4. Avoid alcohol and smoking in case you do.
Get your lipid profile repeated after 3 months and write back to me with reports.

This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
