Brief Answer:
indicates progressive kidney or heart disease

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

This is clinical albuminuria- too much protein in the urine ,an indicator that the kidneys are not working as they should
Normally the kidneys release only very small amounts or no protein at all into the urine.

The micro/creat ratio involves measuring the amount of creatinine released by the kidneys to the microalbumin (type of protein).

There are different causes but it can indicate progressive kidney and/or heart disease.
Heart disease such as heart failure, severe hypertension can cause it.

Kidney disease can be due to different causes such as: diabetes, polycystic kidney disease, medication damaging the kidneys, autoimmune diseases associated with kidney disease eg lupus, severe infection in some cases
These are some of the causes.

Your doctor would want to determine the cause for your value.

There are medications such as ACE inhibitors (ramipril, lisinopril, perindopril) or ARB medications (losartan, candesartan, telmisartan etc) that can help protect the kidneys and help with heart health , if this is an issue unless there is a reason that they cannot be used for you.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
