What Does The Following Skin Biopsy Report Indicate?

Question: I had a biopsis of my skin at the tip of my nose, results came back as there is mild squamous atypia, changes are favored to be reactive. What does this means?

Thanks for your query.

This biopsy is showing benign pathology. Due to inflammation of hair follicles, the skin cells (squamous) have shown some atypia, which is normal. Basically they are looking bit different than normal cells.

This should subside with control of inflammation.

There is nothing to worry, based on this report.
