Brief Answer:
Unlikley to need a surgical intervention!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this finding and all the inconveniences this has caused you. A cyst in itself is benign and unless it has other disturbing symptoms, surgery will not be likely indicated at this time. If it were a solid mass, at that time I would have been very worried but that is simply not the case at this time. Follow up as most of these are benign and aggressive measures or surgery is rarely indicated. Keep me posted with what the urologists stand is and I will propose further measures to help with this.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Appreciate your response, and reassurance...will follow up with Urologist. Immediate concern, was comment from primary Physician, that surgical intervention may be necessary. As a medical professional, I realize that 'worst case scenario' may have been given to my Son. Continue my research and inquiry from Urologist evaluation.
