Question: Hi I went to an endocrinologist 8 months ago and I was advised Thyronorm 50 Mcg. I did my TSH test again last week. The results are: TSH IS 5.84 mcIU/ml. Free T3 IS 2.9 pg/ml and Free T4 is 1.31 ng/dl. Can you please advice if 50mcg of Thyronorm is what I should still take? Thank you

Brief Answer:
You need to increase the dose to 75Mcg

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns.

Once started on thyronorm your TSH has to be between 0.5 and 2.5 miu/ml. Here your TSH is higher. So you need to increase the dose to 75 mcg and recheck after 2 months.

Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you
