Brief Answer:
Your liver shows fatty changes on ultrasound scan

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Your liver is showing fatty changes. There are many causes of liver showing fatty changes as follows
(i) Increased intake of fatty foods and alcohol
(ii) Over weight and obese patients.
(iii) Those who have fatty liver running in family members.
(iv) Any liver condition that is changing appearance of liver.
(v) Mild fatty liver can also be there in many normal people

2. Rest of the report findings are normal. Intrahepatic biliary radicals and portal vein are normal.

3. Please get liver function tests done like SGPT, SGOT, GGT, Alkaline phosphatase and bilirubin done to know if your liver is functioning properly.

4. You can reduce fat and alcohol intake if you take alcohol regularly. Taking small amount of alcohol in party only is not a problem. Take medicines on time if given by your doctor.

5. If there is family history of obesity and you are over weight then get your lipid profile done to see if the cholesterol level is high. If cholesterol is high then you might have to consult cardiologist for medicine and take a well balanced diet.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Dr.Vivek
