I am really worried about AFI LEVELS

                                    Brief Answer:
AFI is on lower side
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Your ultrasound report is normal, except AFI on the lower range.
However, AFI is not abnormal ( low AFI is less than5).
I suggest you to have adequate rest, have plenty of fluids ( at least3-4 litres a day) and take high protein diet. These measures will increase the fluid around the fetus and will increase AFI.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.

                                    Brief Answer:
These medicines are not recommended in decreased AFI
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, thanks for responding. Low AFI levels are due to decreased fluid intake by mother, decreased blood supply to fetus, some kidney anomaly in the fetus or maternal diseases like hypertension or renal disease. If your blood pressure is normal and you have no renal disease, fetus has no renal anomalies (which might have been ruled out in second trimester ultrasound), then the cause is either decreased fluid intake or decreased blood supply to fetus.
You can get a doppler ultrasound to assess the fetal blood supply, which will most probably be normal as the fetal growth parameters are normal.
The most probable cause in you case is decreased fluid intake, which can be covered up by taking more oral fluids. Taking more fluids, adequate rest and high protein diet is shown to increase AFI in one week.
ARG 9 contains arginine which is not scientifically proven to increase the AFI, though given experimentally, Proficient 5000 is hCG injection which has ABSOLUTELY NO ROLE in increasing AFI. In my opinion, these drugs XXXXXXX not required.
