Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Your ultrasound scan abdomen reports shows that there are multiple stones in the gall bladder. The exact number is not mentioned. However the largest stone measures 6 x 3 mm in size.

2. The above stones are formed due to the increased concentration of cholesterol in bile and this happens when a person either has a lot of oily foods or there is alteration in amount of cholesterol in bile.

3. The medicine SOMPRAZ-D cap contains esomeprazole (EC) 40 mg, domperidone (SR) 30 mg and is given to reduce stomach acid and to make the food pass through the stomach fast.

4. Having multiple stones in the gall bladder might require surgery especially if you have pain in right upper abdomen or any jaundice. This is usually an elective surgery. You might discuss with your doctor and choose to take medicines to dissolve the stones and wait and watch. It is seen that multiple stones in gall bladder usually do not decrease in size and number.

5. Please do the following to avoid belching and burping.
(i) Take sompraz D on empty stomach as recommended and do not eat anything for 30 minutes after taking it.
(ii) Have frequent small meals and avoid heavy meals.
(iii) Oil and fats in the food should be reduced.
(iv) Avoid spicy foods
(v) If you have spicy food then please have curd.
(vi) Avoid gas forming foods like cabbage and beans.
(vii) Avoid lying down in bed or bending forwards for 30 minutes after meals.
(viii) Drink adequate amount of water.
(ix) Do not stay hungry for more than 4 hours and never do fasting.
(x) Consult doctor immediately for any pain in right upper abdomen or jaundice
(xi) Raise the head end of the bed by 6 inches if you have acid reflux disease

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
You might try medicines and watch if the stones reduce in size and number

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

Please do any of the following to share your ultrasound scan report.

(i) You might scan the ultrasound scan report and upload a pdf copy of the report by clicking on the attach report or upload report button.

(ii) You might email the report to YYYY@YYYY and write "query Id 210179 KIND ATTN DR XXXXXXX CHAIL" on the subject line.

(iii) You might email the report to YYYY@YYYY and write "query Id 210179 KIND ATTN DR XXXXXXX CHAIL" on the subject line.

.............................................................................................................

I have received uploaded copy of the scan image. Thanks for sending it.

After seeing the images, I would like to make the following observations.

1. If you do not have pain and never had jaundice then you can consult a surgeon or gastroenterologist and take prescribed medicine to possibly reduce the number and size of stones.

2. Surgery is not urgent if you have no other symptoms except belching and burping. You might take medicines as given by your doctor and follow instructions given in earlier reply. We cannot prescribe those medicines over online consultation without doing clinical examination as per rules of e-health policy guidelines and www.healthcarenagic.com

3. Please stop or reduce smoking and alcohol if you do it regularly.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
