Question : Hi Doctor. What does "There are benign appearing lymph nodes in both axillae" mean. It's on my Mammagram test. It also says " No features suggestive of malignancy are demonstrated" M Bean
Brief Answer:
mammography explained...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
The report says that "There are benign appearing lymph nodes in both axillae" which means that the axillary group of lymph nodes are of normal size and are not infected or enlarged due to any breast disease.
Nextly," No features suggestive of malignancy are demonstrated", simply means that there is no breast tumour or cancer and there were no features as seen on mammogram which suggested any likelihood of breast tumour either benign or malignant.
Regards
