Brief Answer:
Can be due to several reasons. Pl upload results

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
Spenomegaly can be due to several causes, can be due to increase in the pressure in the portal vein as occurs in cirrhosis or hepatic / portal fibrosis or due to blood disorders or infiltration or infections. How was this Spenomegaly detected and how big is it?
Have you ever had jaundice or hepatitis?
If you have blood results, please upload them.
Take care

Brief Answer:
Spenomegaly confirmed. More information please

Detailed Answer:
I am glad to note that the provided results are normal except for the splenic size. You would have got the size from an ultrasound examination, I presume.
Could you let me know the report regarding the liver, its size and texture and also the size of the portal vein and splenic vein? If it is possible to upload the entire report it would be good.
Upload if you have the rest of the liver function test.

Answered by Dr. Noble Zachariah (28 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Spherocytosis can be associated with both.

Detailed Answer:
Gilbert's syndrome normally does not produce enlargement of the spleen. Some cases of spherocytosis are reported to be associated with splenomegaly and hyperbilirubinemia like seen in Gilbert's syndrome.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry. Avoid trauma to the abdomen

Detailed Answer:
You could request your doctor for a blood smear examination. This will help exclude / confirm a number of diseases.
Since you are asymptomatic and platelets are normal, nothing to worry.
However take care not to get a blow in the left hypochondrium over the spleen. There are instances of splenic rupture following blunt trauma.

Brief Answer:
Excludes leukaemia and hypersplenism

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I am glad to note that your WBC differential is normal. This means leukaemia is unlikely.
Was the blood film examined by a doctor (clinical pathologist )?
Was there any mention regarding the RBCs.
Spherocytosis is a condition which can produce splenomegaly and is not serious disease.

It is examined in clinic laboratory probably by serious doctors

There is not mentions about RBC
On my first blood control before this only thing was high is MCHC
I guess could be spherocytosis
Examined by med biochemist
doctor
Answered by Dr. Noble Zachariah (41 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
It's likely to be sherocytosis

Detailed Answer:
Biochemist is the specialist to examine biochemical parameters of blood like glucose, creatinine, cholesterol etc. The clinical pathologist is the one who should look at the blood film to know the size, shape and characters of the blood cells.
Since the MCHC is high it is likely to be spherocytosis and you can relax.
Only take care not to injure the spleen by any trauma to the abdomen.

Do MCHC has to be always higher in life if I have sferocytosis

Thank you
doctor
Answered by Dr. Noble Zachariah (5 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
It will be high if not anemic

Detailed Answer:
If there is no anemia which decreases the hemoglobin content of the RBCs, MCHC will usually be high in sherocytosis
