Question : Hi, my mom aged 59 had acute loose stools and vomit since Saturday night. After antibiotics and IV, she's slowly reduced to passing semi solid stools 3-4 times a day.
Stool test
Pus cells 10-15 hpf
Budding yeast cells
Mucus present
Abdominal scan and x Ray normal

She's currently on
Cifran 500 OZ 1/2 tablet twice a day
Razo D 1 tab twice a day before food
Rifagut 1 tab twice a day
g norm sachets twice a day

Your mother is probably suffering from acute infectious colitis.
She has been prescribed the right medications. Let her continue taking them. She can take either cifran oz or rifagut and need not take both.

She needs to take enough fluids to remain well hydrated.

She can take BRAT diet (Banana Rice Apple sauce Toast).
