What Does The Stress Test Result Indicate?

Posted on Tue, 10 Mar 2015
Question: Hi I have had several tests done on my heart. Stress tests , 2 echos, 10 ecgs, 2 holter monitors. My tests all came back normal. The holter monitor showed 200 PACS and 15 isolated PVC. I am worried because my resting heart rate is 52-55 . I am not an athlete. I have lost 75 lbs over tthehe last 10 months through. I don't feel fine. My heart rate went down to 41 during sleep at 2:45 AM. Doctor still says this is all normal and I shouldn't worry. That is not easy for me as I suffer from extreme anxiety. I got a second opinion from another cardiologist who also says I have a healthy heart. One thing I noticed that happens sometimes is when I stand up from sitting or just start moving I will have 5 or 6 slow heart beats that are strong and then the heart rate speeds up. What can this be? Also I noticed in the morning my heart rate is irregular. Some faster beats and some slower beats. When I check my pulse it feels like my heart is beating like this or that it struggles with some beats. Can this be because of the PACS? I just recently redid all my heart tests and doctor says everything looks fine and the heart is structurally healthy. This irregular heart rate in the morning is worrying me

Brief Answer:
Fight you anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thank you for your coming back on HCM! Seems that your heart beatings exert an unpleasant feeling time after time. As you have explained before, all the prior medical consults and performed exams have shown a structurally normal heart and didn't raise suspicion of any serious heart disorder. But you still are thinking about bradycardia, 200 PACs & 15 PVCs.
I would like to confirm to you that it is hardly for a structurally normal heart to be conquered by so very few different beats.
Don't you think that you are giving so undeserved importance to such insignificant short moments? You PACs and PVCs will never guusw your heart, BUT looks like they have conquered your mind.
Don't you think so?
And your ANXIETY is ever growing. Don't you think that there will be so many thousand millions normal and happy heart beats in your long life that there will not be enough time to think about them
The only last thing I would recommend you not only as a doctor, is to start thinking for the happy moments in your life , and you didn't worry abouthe way heart beats.
Just start fighting your anxiety; if you don't manage, find your aleats in helping with the issue (friends, family, beloved persons and even a specialist in the field like a psychiatrist).
Greetings.

Doctor Thank you for your response. No 9 be has ever taken the time to explain it like that and I appreciate it. It just scares me when I feel erratic beats. Also my echocardiogram showed trace mitral regurgitation, trace tricuspid regurgitation and trace pulmonic regurgitation but my cardiologist said it's normal and all structure is normal. Is this so?

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again! Just for a little joke I tell you that traces are fake, as the wolf doesn't exist.
Trace regurgitations are considered clinically normal. So relax! Nothing is absolutely perfectly done in the nature.
Greetings.
