Hi, Thank for writing to us. You should consult a gynaecologist for proper examination and investigation to rule out the cause of postcoital bleeding. Cancer is also very important to be rule out. Good luck. Regard Dr.Richa

Have you dealt or seen 8mm thickening before? Dr said "mild" but confused with peri vs menopause given i have not had menses for 5 or 6 months. Frightened that cancer has to be ruled out

Hi, Sorry for delay. Yes, I have seen few patient in my practice, in whom endometrial wall is thickened but they were not suffering from endometrial carcinoma. Endometrium thickening may be because of uterine polyp and fibroid also. Menopause consider when menses stop for more then a year. Please do not get tensed. Hope for the benignity of the problem Hopefully everything will be fine. Good luck. Regards Dr. Richa
