Brief Answer:
Get tested.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcare Magic. I am Dr Anshul Varshney for your help.
Your mother is suffering from Acute Viral Hepatitis and see needs further evaluation for the cause.
I would recommend you to get her following investigations done :
1. HbsAg and Anti HCV antibody for Hepatitis B and C.
2. Anti HAV and HEV antibody for Hepatitis A and E.
3. Ultrasound Abdomen.
Till the reports are available, Carry on with the sake treatment as advised by your doctor as treatment is mostly symptomatic on case of Hepatitis A and E. In case it turns out to be Hepatitis B or C, we will discuss the further course of action.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query please ask me.

Brief Answer:
No vaccination as such recommended

Detailed Answer:
In general, if your family has not been vaccinated for Hepatitis B, you all can opt for its vaccination.
As such no emergency vaccination is recommended.
He should not travel till his liver function tests settles and he is symptomatically better.
Good luck.

His doctor has suggested to drink lot of glucose (Glucon-D). Is it right?
Please suggest some good diets.

Answered by Dr. Anshul Varshney (5 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Yes, He should drink

Detailed Answer:
Glucon D contains glucose and body needs it in jaundice as our own liver is not able to synthesize it properly.
So, go ahead with Glucon D.
Avoid oily, spicy food and milk till his recovery.

He can take khichdi, Daliya, home prepared fruit and vegetable juices as much as he want.

Don't take sugarcane juice prepared outside.

I wish him a speedy recovery.
