What Does Thick Green Colored Mucus Indicate?

Question: I have had a cold for about 15 days. Mucus started clear now is green and thick. Husband says irrelevant but I remember docs used to ask that question. Doing everything I can think of... anything else I can try... this is really annoying

Greenish thick mucus with duration exceeding 2 weeks suggests rhinosinusitis requiring antibiotics in addition to the nasal decongestants and anti histamines.
You can also try steam inhalation at home with a few drops of menthol or vicks. For confirmation of sinusitis, a paranasal sinus x ray can be advised.
