Question : I had an ultra sound that showed thickening of the walls of my rectum and colon. What are all the possible diagnosis’s for those symptom?

Hello. It can be due to infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. The most common cause of picking a thickened rectal or colon wall on ultrasound is infectious, likely amoebic infection. Uncommonly, it can be due to inflammatory conditions like inflammatory bowel diseases or sometimes due to cancer. However, ultrasound is a poor modality to pick thickening.
