Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. A blood pressure recording of 160/ 114 mm Hg at rest is in the higher range and might cause stroke if it is not controlled and goes higher.

2. It is important to know if you did any heavy physical work or were in mental stress before having your blood pressure recorded.

3. However, 160/ 114 is high and requires treatment with medicines and reduced salt intake.

4. Telma 20 and amlong 2.5 are low dose medicines to control your blood pressure. Please also do meditation for 30 minutes every day to control your blood pressure.

5. It will also be good if you can get blood sugar tested for diabetes and lipid profile test done for high cholesterol.

6. Next time you record your blood pressure, please relax for 30 minutes and do not involve yourself in physical activity or mental stress. This is the correct method of recording blood pressure.

7. Please follow up with your doctor and take medicine regularly. Avoid too much of alcohol, smoking or oily food.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
