Brief Answer:
YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM SIMPLE IRON DEFICIENCY ANEMIA!
Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thanks for writing to us and sharing your recent blood reports!
After analysing the values, I would like to conclude that you are just suffering from moderate anemia and the cause behind it is nothing but nutritional/iron deficiency...!
There might be duodenal ulcer leading to low iron absorption; but low dietary deficiency could add to this!
Therefore, please continue the iron therapy as prescribed and serial monitoring is necessary to assess the response; take rest also and if necessary consult a gastroenterologist/dietitian for the best result and early recovery!
Wishing you good health.
Regards

Would dizziness, nausea and feeling of wanting to pass out be common with the Simple Iron Defieciency Anemia? It has gotten worse in the last couple of days
Also what would cause blood levels to drop like that after being admitted to the hospital for food poisioning from STAPH. My hemogloblin was 10.8 at admittance and 2 days later at 8.1 and all levels dropped . Can the Staph cause this ?

Brief Answer:
SOME SILENT BLEEDING ADDED TO IT!
Detailed Answer:
Hello, thanks for your feedback!
Your recent food poisoning could cause some mucosal ulcer and inhibit iron absorption; in addition, there could be some acute mucosal bleeding also causing drastic drop in hemoglobin level...
I think some intestinal factors/infection might add to nausea; please don't worry this symptom will go away with treatment; but better see a gastroenterologist also...!

I am seeing a gastro since I have chronic pansreatitus he has been my DR- I am in the 30% with no cause . Anyway it is my gastro who has been treating me
Where is mucosal bleeding at?
Also could the Staph from the food posioning inhibit the drastic drop in the number with 2 days as it happened in the hospital. I had a serious case of Staph as my WBC also shot up drastically and they kept me for 5 days

Brief Answer:
DRASTIC DROP IN HB% IS DUE TO BLOOD LOSS IN STOOL!
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback again!
Is there any significant finding in the endoscopy reports?
Sometimes Staph could affect myocardium/heart also; if you are having problems relating to circulation/palpitation etc. please go for an ECG/Chest X-ray also.
Any kind of infection consumes body nutrients and thus might lead to low production of red cells...but drastic drop in hemoglobin is generally due to blood loss; in your case it could be in the lower gut. Oral iron therapy is likely to recover your hemoglobin level by 4-6 months.
Wishing you good health.
